Insight Guide About Oligio X

Oligio X skin tightening in Bangkok: what to expect

Oligio X is a non-surgical, needle-free radiofrequency treatment from WONTECH, South Korea. It delivers heat through a treatment tip placed on the skin, with the aim of improving firmness as collagen remodels. It may be worth considering for early cheek or jawline sagging when you want a gradual change and can accept a more modest result than surgery.

The first decision is whether your concern comes mainly from loose skin, lost facial volume, excess fat or a combination. These need different treatment plans. Smooth Clinic’s published Oligio X prices start at 16,500 THB for 300 shots; the appropriate number depends on the area and your assessment.

Below, you can compare current prices, understand the evidence and likely timeline, and review risks and recovery before booking.

How Oligio X works: monopolar RF, G/X modes and cooling

WONTECH specifies 6.78 MHz monopolar radiofrequency for Oligio X. Electrical resistance in the tissue generates heat as energy passes between the treatment electrode and a return electrode. Controlled heating can affect existing collagen fibres and stimulate a gradual remodelling response.

The manufacturer describes two energy-delivery modes, G and X, which can be used in combination as GXG. These are treatment modes, rather than two RF frequencies. Oligio X does not combine RF with focused ultrasound, and its name should not be confused with the separate Oligio KISS model.

Cooling helps protect the skin surface, while impedance monitoring measures electrical resistance to help control energy delivery. Neither provides an ultrasound image of the tissue, nor removes the possibility of a heat injury. Claims about treating “every skin layer” or a machine’s maximum power do not establish how much lift an individual will obtain.

Oligio X versus the original Oligio

Both devices use monopolar RF. Oligio X introduces G/X mode control and revised cooling, but the original Oligio already had cooling, impedance checks and sensors. It would be misleading to describe the original as having no monitoring or to assume the newer name guarantees a better result.

Who may benefit, and which areas need assessment?

People with mild to moderate laxity, early lower-face sagging or reduced skin firmness may be candidates. Your tissue thickness, facial volume, skin condition and expectations matter more than a particular birthday. Wanting substantial removal of loose skin is a reason to discuss surgical options rather than keep increasing RF treatment.

  • Cheeks and jawline: assess how much of the softening comes from skin laxity and how much comes from changes in underlying volume.
  • Under the chin and neck: distinguish loose skin from a larger fat deposit or chin structure. Tightening alone may not address the main cause of a double chin.
  • Around the eyes: the manufacturer lists a dedicated eye tip. Treatment needs an appropriate tip, an assessment of the exact area and eye protection according to the device instructions. A general facial plan does not automatically include eyelid treatment.
  • Forehead and décolletage: these appear in the manufacturer’s product information, but suitability and the scope of your appointment still need to be assessed individually.

What if I have a thin face or want to preserve cheek volume?

Make volume preservation part of the treatment goal before choosing a package. Oligio X does not replace missing volume, and a hollow cheek may need a different approach. A sharper-looking jawline after tightening does not prove that a measured amount of fat has been removed.

Deep folds can have several causes, including volume loss and sagging. Acne scars, pigmentation and enlarged pores also deserve their own assessment; a tightening treatment should not be presented as a solution to every skin concern.

How many shots: 300, 600 or 900?

There is no fixed shot count for every face. A shot is a unit of treatment delivery, not a standard amount of lifting. The plan depends on the area, tissue characteristics, degree of laxity and how the device will be used.

A 300-shot package does not automatically mean “jawline only”, 600 shots does not guarantee full-face coverage for everyone, and 900 shots does not automatically include the neck or eyes. Agree on the actual areas and any separate tip requirements before choosing a price tier.

More shots do not reliably produce proportionally better results, and inappropriate repeated heating can cause injury. RF shots and ultrasound lines are different units, so comparing cost per shot across different technologies is not a meaningful way to choose treatment.

Oligio X prices at Smooth Clinic

The following prices were checked against Smooth Clinic’s official price page (Thai) on 15 October 2026, Thailand time.

Published package Price in Thai baht
300 shots 16,500 THB
600 shots 33,000 THB
900 shots 49,000 THB

These are published prices, rather than a recommendation for a particular facial area. The price card does not itemise every inclusion, treatment area or follow-up arrangement. Before payment, confirm the total for your agreed plan and any conditions that apply. Prices may change.

For value, compare the problem being treated and the likely degree of improvement, as well as the package size. A larger package can be poor value if tightening is unlikely to address your main concern.

When will results appear, and how long do they last?

Any collagen-remodelling effect develops over weeks to months. An early feeling of firmness can occur, but immediate photographs may also reflect temporary swelling and do not show the final outcome. Consistent photographs and a planned review are more useful than judging the result on the treatment day.

What does the research actually show?

A 2022 prospective study followed 30 Thai volunteers with mild to moderate lower-face laxity after one treatment with the original Oligio. Most improvements were mild to moderate during six months of follow-up. There was no untreated control group. A separate 2024 study of 20 women also used the original model, with follow-up to 24 weeks.

These studies help explain the rationale for monopolar RF, but they do not establish an Oligio X success rate, prove superiority over other devices or guarantee a particular result. The references reviewed for this page do not establish a fixed 6–12-month duration for Oligio X.

Will one session be enough?

One treatment followed by assessment is different from a promise that one session will achieve your goal. Early follow-up over the first few months can help document the response, with later review where appropriate. Some people obtain limited improvement or need a different approach to the underlying concern.

Results are not permanent. Maintenance should depend on your response, returning laxity and the condition of your tissues, rather than an automatic requirement to repeat treatment every six months or every year. If a result is disappointing, reassess the diagnosis and expectations before paying for more energy-based treatment.

Does Oligio X hurt, and how long is the appointment?

You may feel pulses of warmth or heat alternating with cooling. Sensitivity varies by person and treatment area. Cooling is a useful feature, but it does not justify a “painless” promise. Tell the practitioner immediately about sharp, focal burning or unexpectedly strong pain; enduring more heat is not a measure of a better result.

Numbing is not identical in every protocol. The original-Oligio studies cited here used different approaches, including treatment with and without topical anaesthetic. Discuss your sensitivity and allergies before starting rather than applying numbing cream yourself.

The manufacturer’s Korean Oligio X information gives an approximate treatment time of 15–30 minutes, depending on shots, area and settings. That is not a promised Smooth Clinic appointment length. Allow separately for assessment, preparation, any agreed comfort measures and aftercare.

Who should postpone treatment or have a medical review first?

Needle-free treatment still requires safety screening. The practitioner must check the instructions for the exact device and your circumstances, especially where implanted equipment or previous facial procedures are involved.

  • Pacemaker, implanted defibrillator or another active electronic implant: disclose it before booking treatment. RF may be contraindicated; do not switch off or alter an implant to undergo a cosmetic procedure.
  • Metal plates, screws, implants or dental work: explain the type and location. Braces and dental implants cannot all be treated as having the same precautions; uncertainty should be resolved before proceeding.
  • Open wounds, infection, active cold sores, sunburn or inflamed skin: postpone treatment over the affected area until it has been assessed and treated.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding: discuss postponing an elective cosmetic procedure. Safety has not been established for these groups by the studies described here.
  • Conditions affecting sensation, healing or immunity: disclose these, along with your medicines and allergies, so that suitability can be assessed.
  • Previous filler, threads, implants, surgery or energy treatments: provide the product or device, area and date where known. Permanent or unidentified injected material deserves particular attention.

Do not stop prescribed medication on your own to prepare for Oligio X. A previous uneventful treatment with another machine does not replace screening for this one.

Side effects, burns and changes in facial volume

Temporary redness, mild swelling, warmth, tightness or tenderness can follow RF treatment. These symptoms should improve rather than progressively worsen. Excessive heating can cause burns, blistering, pigment changes or scarring even when a device has cooling and monitoring features.

Published reports involving older non-needle monopolar RF devices include fat atrophy and contour changes. They establish that unwanted volume loss is a possible concern within this treatment category; they do not provide an Oligio X-specific risk rate. A guarantee that facial fat can never be affected would therefore be inappropriate.

Symptoms that need prompt medical attention

Contact the treating clinician promptly for worsening pain or burning, blisters, broken skin, unusual darkening or pallor, increasing swelling, persistent new numbness or unexpected facial weakness. New dents or increasing asymmetry also warrant assessment before further treatment. Eye pain or a change in vision needs urgent medical assessment rather than waiting for a routine review.

The U.S. FDA’s separate warning about RF microneedling concerns energy delivered through needles. Oligio X uses an external skin-contact tip, so that warning should not be presented as an Oligio X adverse-event report. The procedures have different delivery methods and safety considerations.

Preparing for your visit

Keep your skin comfortable before the appointment. If a recent peel, treatment or skincare product has left it irritated or peeling, flag this before proceeding. Avoid experimenting with strong new products or self-applied anaesthetic immediately beforehand.

Be specific about the change you want: for example, firmer skin beside the jaw while preserving cheek fullness. Mention an upcoming wedding, photographs or other important event so that the plan allows for both recovery and gradual results. Doing treatment a few days before an event does not allow time to judge its final effect.

What usually happens during treatment?

The exact sequence follows the device instructions and the clinician’s plan. In general, a visit involves:

  1. Assessment: review the concern, skin and facial structure, medical history and previous treatments. Baseline photographs may help with later comparison.
  2. An agreed plan: identify the device, areas, shot count, expected limitations, comfort measures and total cost before consent.
  3. Preparation: clean the skin and prepare the treatment tip and associated equipment, including the return electrode. Eye-area treatment requires its own appropriate precautions.
  4. Treatment: deliver energy according to the plan while monitoring the skin and your feedback.
  5. Aftercare: check the treated areas and explain recovery, warning symptoms, contact arrangements and when to assess the outcome.

This is a general description, rather than a promise of a particular drug, tip or identical protocol at every Smooth Clinic appointment.

Recovery, skincare and returning to daily life

Many people can return to work and light activities soon after non-invasive RF. Temporary visible redness or swelling is still possible, so leave flexibility around an important appearance or photographs.

  • Washing and moisturising: use gentle products and avoid scrubbing skin that feels sensitive. Blisters or broken skin need medical advice rather than routine skincare.
  • Makeup: generally reasonable when the skin is intact and comfortable. Do not use it to cover a worsening reaction.
  • Sun exposure: continue sunscreen and sensible protection from strong sun, including during everyday travel around Bangkok.
  • Retinoids, exfoliating acids and scrubs: pause products that sting or aggravate sensitivity and restart according to how your skin settles and the advice you receive.
  • Exercise, sauna and steam: avoid activities that worsen ongoing heat, redness, swelling or discomfort. There is no single fixed recovery interval suitable for every person and treatment plan.
  • Facial massage: avoid strong pressure on tender or swollen areas; massage is not necessary to make the tightening work.

If you have another procedure at the same visit, its aftercare also matters. Follow the instructions for the complete plan rather than assuming the shortest recovery advice applies to everything.

Can it be combined with fillers, Botox or other devices?

Sometimes a combined plan addresses separate concerns, but each treatment should have a clear purpose. Adding devices or injections does not automatically improve value or results.

Previous filler, collagen-stimulating injections, threads, surgery, ultrasound and laser treatment can affect the timing and areas of a new plan. There is no universal waiting period that makes every combination appropriate. The product, position, recovery and intended energy delivery all matter; Oligio X should not be used as a method of dissolving unwanted filler.

A staged plan may make it easier to judge what has helped and avoid unnecessary repeat treatment on tissue that is still recovering.

Oligio X, Ultherapy Prime, Ultraformer III, XERF or filler?

Start with the cause of the concern, then compare the technologies that may address it. Device features describe how treatment is delivered; they are not a ranking of results for every face.

Option Main distinction Useful decision point
Oligio X Monopolar RF delivered through a skin-contact tip, with G/X modes and cooling Consider for firmness when skin laxity is the main concern; it does not add volume.
Ultherapy Prime Microfocused ultrasound with real-time tissue visualisation Imaging helps guide treatment. Ultrasound has its own discomfort and risk profile.
Ultraformer III Micro- and macro-focused ultrasound, with cartridges selected for the plan A different system from Ultherapy Prime, without the same DeepSEE tissue-imaging feature.
XERF Monopolar RF using 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz Two frequencies differ from Oligio X’s two modes; this alone does not establish which will suit you better.
Dermal filler Injected material used to restore volume or change contour May address a volume deficit, but has injection-specific risks, including vascular blockage.

For substantial excess skin, include surgery in the discussion. For acne scarring or another skin-surface concern, seek an assessment directed at that problem. RF microneedling is also a separate procedure with needles and a different recovery plan.

A useful comparison covers the expected change, treatment areas, comfort, risks, total cost and follow-up. A low advertised price or a higher shot count cannot answer those questions on its own.

Choosing a provider and checking the device

Check the exact model name and the source of the device and treatment tips. WONTECH ASIA’s Oligio X information provides a manufacturer-side starting point for product and supplier enquiries. A photograph of a machine or the word “authentic” in an advertisement is not independent verification.

Thai registration and permitted use need to match the actual device. U.S. 510(k) clearance is a separate regulatory status and does not certify every cosmetic claim or replace Thai documentation.

Review Smooth Clinic’s doctor information and establish who will assess and treat you. Relevant device training, a clear explanation of risks and access to help after treatment matter alongside equipment. An article reviewer is not necessarily the practitioner assigned to your appointment.

How to read Smooth Clinic’s Oligio X reviews

The Oligio X review gallery (Thai) includes before-and-after images as well as cases labelled Ultraformer III + Oligio X. One combined-program image is dated 16 December 2025 and 25 January 2026; two views of another case are dated 18 January and 18 February 2026. These images illustrate combined treatment and cannot establish how much of the change came from Oligio X alone.

Other images use “Then/Now” labels without visible treatment dates or shot counts. Compare cases with a similar starting concern and look for comparable lighting, angles and expressions. Dates, treatment details and other procedures are important context; photographs cannot promise the same improvement or exclude complications for someone else.
